Information store cache timeout

Some changes require stop/start of the information store. This can be avoided by setting an information store cache timeout value which forces the information store to re-read from the disk.

  1. regedit
  2. HKLM - System - CCS - Services - MSExchangeIS - ParametersSystem
  3. add DWORD value
    Mailbox Cache Age Limit
  4. set to 5 - 15 minutes, or so
  5. stop and start the information store service

change user associated with a mailbox

  1. double click on mailbox
  2. select primary windows account
  3. select a user
  4. click OK
  5. stop and start the information store, or if there is a cache timeout, wait until it updates
